I have been testing my server with some custom maps but keep having a problem when the map is downloaded off my server and is run for the first time it starts assessing walkable space, sniper spots and other things anytime after that the map is ok.
This happens on everyones PC that connects and runs one of these maps that they dont already have in their cs map collection.
This has never happened when I've played on other servers so its obviouly something I've set wrong can anyone advise.
Thanks in advance

thats your server generating a .nav file for bots
just let it go. I try to do that (have the server create .nav files) at odd hours when no one would be playing.
After it makes the .nav file, the server will reset. this is normal, and will only happen once per new map that doesn'y have a .nav file

ok, the server creates the .nav files. All you gotta do is change the map on the server to the map you need a .nav file for. Doesn't matter if you change the map while playing or you change the map from console. You'll know that the .nav file generation is over because the server will reset itself. This is only if the server does not have a .nav file for that map.
Or what you could do is if you have already have a .nav for a map that your server doesn't, you could upload it to your server's map directory. Then it won't need to go through the .nav file generation.
all .nav files will be named as such:
<mapname>.nav
if you want you could go to your cstrike/maps directory, sort list by file type, and then copy all the files that have a .nav extension and ftp it to your server, when if the server already has a .nav file that you are uploading, just choose not to overwrite.

Ok thanks a lot for the advice I'll do that for every map then.
