Server uses diffrent class tables
#1
Hey everyone, im new to this, so sorry if I sound a little weird. I just setup my srcds, and everything is fine, I am able to access it and everything, but not too long ago, I think a Garry's Mod update came out, and then its telling me that my server uses different class tables. I have tried using HLDS update tool, but it dose not work. And if you are going to tell me to do the "hldsupdatetool -command update" thing, please tell me where to type it in. Thanks!

Create shortcut to hldsupdatetool and append the following to the shortcut target: -command update -game "garrysmod" -dir C:\Where\Your\Game\Server\Is\

C:\Where\Your\Game\Server\Is\ would be wherever your game server is installed too. Such as on mine it would be C:\gameservers\gmod_roleplay\
It would be the same as what you set it too when you first installed the server.

SO if I were to run a gmod update on my server I would do:
-command update -game "garrysmod" -dir C:\gameservers\gmod_roleplay\

The class table error is because either the server or client is out of date. Try updating the server using the SAME command you used to install it.

Please do not PM me for server related help

Thanks loopyman, but when you tell me to make a shortcut, what do you mean. Like on my desktop? And where do I type in.. -command update -game "garrysmod" -dir C:\Where\Your\Game\Server\Is\

How did you install your gameserver in the first place?

( Im only asking because I gave you a complex method if you don't know what you're doing )
