Server won't appear in master list, people can connect via IP
#1
I have been running a Garry's Mod server for over a week now, yet it ceases to show up in the master list (although people can connect/add to favorites via IP). I've seen a million threads like this that have no answers to this problem. Every possible firewall is disabled, ports 27000-27040 are forwarded on my Linksys WRT54G router, and sv_region is 0. Again, people can connect to it but it won't show up in the list (I even checked myself multiple times at my friend's house). So, how do I fix this?

Start-up line: C:\srcds\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod +map rp_downtown_v2 -sv_defaultgamemode DarkRP -autoupdate -sv_lan 0 -maxplayers 30 -sv_region 0

Edited:

Additional Notes:
-Uses port 27015
-Shows up on Gametracker.com, but gives no info on map and says player count is 0/0 http://www.gametracker.com/search/?search_by=name_ip&query=twists+of+fate&search.x=0&search.y=0&search=submit
-I've waited multiple weeks at a time for it to show up, does NOT work
-GameTracker also labels its Status as dead, and says it is firewalled, although all firewalls are disabled.

Edited Again:
Again, don't say anything about waiting for steam servers to update. It's been up for over 2 weeks now.

-sv_lan 0 does not work in startup, nor does -sv_gamemode, you need to have it +sv_defaultgamemode and +sv_region and +sv_lan, autoupdate does not work on windows. Do you have third party firmware like ddwrt, or openwrt? Did you forward it to the correct internal IP? Try fowarding port 6002 7003 and 1200. Is the server on a special map when you search for it? If gametracker labels it as offline, then its offline... then the master servers cant update.

You a lot of things in your start-up line that are best put in your server.cfg
Change your start-up line to this: C:\srcds\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod +map rp_downtown_v2 -sv_defaultgamemode DarkRP -maxplayers 30

In your server config add sv_lan 0 and sv_region 0

Also: sv_region is set right? You are on the West Cost?

When you start the server, does it connect to the master servers?
Are you hosting at home or a data center?

Please do not PM me for server related help

Sounds like a router problem to me. What type of router do you have and what ports did you forward?
