server wont launch

I am trying to make my own server, but im not sure what to do to launch it. I have been clicking on the srcds button with the half life symbol that i put in this folder C:\srcds\garrysmod\cfg, but it says "failed to load the launcher dll: the specified module could not be found. so i try typing "c:\srcds\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod +map gm_construct +maxplayers 16 -autoupdate" in the run thing on the start menu but a black empty box pops oup for 1 sec then goes away. so i try clicking on the srcds button with the ship on it but it says "the procedure entry point ?GetCallParam@CWorkerThread@@QBEIXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library tier0.dll". I have done all the things with the hlds and the folders are all there and i really dont want to have to redo it all but i will if i have to because i already did the really long server oad thing twice and they both took like 4 or 5 hours. Please help I would really like to make my own server. thanks

I moved your thread.

Update the server with ONLY -garrysmod.

Then make sure the srcds.exe is in the given patch.

sorry but i dont know what you mean. do you mean i type the -console -game garrysmod +map with only -console -garrysmod +map but of course with the other stuf?

you mean with the hlds or with the note pad thing and is it the really long thing coz i did the really long thing for the second time earlier today but it did add more things than the time i did it last night. and i think i updated like an hhour ago is it the black box that looks lik the really long thing but goes 49.90% straight to like 65 then 90 then done?

yes i can see it but i just did the download on the notebook icon again and it was faster than normal but i never really looked. but i did a search on my computer for srcds.exe and found 2 files that you couldnt 0pen that had just white icons with stuff on it.

but i just downloaded the server_download with the notebook and gear icon. when i click on the hlds the black box pops up and i can see white writing but it closes within a second

What kind of files is that :/

Try to run as administrator.

i am in adminastrator i dont have any other users on this computer

when i choose run as administrator it shows to acount to chose from hp_administrator and administrator and asks for password but i have none

Are you running any plugins/addons?
