Couldn't allocate UDP port?
#1
When I start my server it just crashes and I get this error:

WARNING: NNET_OpenSocket: bind: Cannot assign requested address
Couldn't allocate dedicated server UDP port

If I unbind the port and IP it starts but runs as localhost. My run line looks like this.

./srcds_run -console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 33 -autoupdate +maxplayers 33 -ticrate 66 +ip 174.137.52.203 -port 27015 +fps_max 600

Its on a fresh install of FC10 64 bit, IP tables is working fine and I allowed the following ports

Code:
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 27030 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 27031 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 27032 -j ACCEPT

Anyone else have any other ideas? It's a self managed linux hosting so the host won't help you without charging $$$$.

Remove the +ip and -port.

Like:
Code:
./srcds_run -console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 33 -autoupdate +maxplayers 33 -tickrate 66 +fps_max 600

And btw. you were missing a k in tickrate

Isn't that ip your external IP?

Try with your internal.

external ip? the netstat shows "174.137.53.202:27015" open, so I guess there is no NAT or so... and your server should be running. but you can't connect or what is your problem? I actually can see the server running (in hlsw):
174.137.53.202:27015 TorontoDarkly.ca |NO AWP/AUTO + FF ON|

what tool do you use for the port check? maybe it checks only tcp?

PS: you don't need to open so many ports, udp+tcp 27015 is enough for the server. remember to keep some ssh port or so open for remote management if you are not sitting in front of the server ;-)
