Help srcds gmod server

HI GUYS im a noob

i just want to make a srcds deticated gmod server i followed a video tut go to the point where i made my srcds shortcut
i continued and my game wont show on gmod.....
i think its because of portforwarding but idk so canu help if port forwarding can u tell me what ports to do

my code for shortcut:

C:\srcds\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod +map gm_flatgrass +ip <My external IP> -port 27015 +map scoutzknivez

Have any suggestion on what I should enter for the Protocol Timeout (in seconds)?

EDIT: Forget about, I just used default and it works fine .
