SRCDS Help! Can't get my server on the internet tab!

Hi, I'm new here and I need help just like the rest of the SRCDS n00bs on here.

So long story short, I'm trying to make a TF2 community server for 72dpiarmy.com. I'm going to be the one to manage it and well, I can't even get it onto the internet tab of the server browser.

Here are my computer specs:
-AMD Phenom Quad Core Processor 2.2 GHz (OC'd 2.5 GHz)
-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216
-6GB RAM
-Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
-23" Widescreen Monitor 1920x1080

I've downloaded the update tool and installed all of the latest TF2 server files and created my server.cfg, MOTD.txt, and mapcycle.txt files.
I've started srcds.exe under the commands "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\HLServer\orangebox\srcds.exe" -autoupdate -console -game tf +maxplayers 8 +map ctf_2fort

My internal IP is 192.168.50.111
My external IP is 72.19.41.13 (Static IP)
The port I'm using 27015
I'm on wireless.

My ISP doesn't allow me to mess with port settings, but the guy who manages it says that he leaves all ports open, no restrictions. Auto adds I guess.

Please help!

You mean the masterlist tab?

And try to disable Windows Firewall, as it is Vista Wink

1) Yes
2) Windows Firewall is on but hl2.exe has been an exception from being blocked from Day 1

Also, another member I asked to see if he could join said he could find the server even when I gave my external IP and port
Strangely, under my history tab it shows the server I started but gives me an error when I try to join.

EDIT: Ah, I found out something interesting, I logged onto another computer in my house with Steam on it and my server showed up on the LAN tab, but sv_lan is set to 0...

It will show in the lan list becuase the server is in your local network. -autoupdate does not work on windows. You probably have Universal plug and play enabled on the router which is why the guy says that its all open. You need to port forward 27000-27020 to your local ip which is 192.168.50.111. Do you own the router? And do you know the username/password to log in? If you do, access the port forwarding page and forward those ports. If you don't you need to ask the person that knows how to, to do it.

Okay so I finally got in to the router settings and I find that even when I open those ports, many sites like http://www.canyouseeme.org/ still show port as closed on my static IP.

EDIT: Okay so my friends can join me if I give them my external IP adderess, but my server isn't on the internet tab.

Define "internet tab" is it the master list?

If so, I've the same problem. Here is a list of what I've tried so far.
I didn't have success. I've to tell that my server is connectable with "connect ip: port" for my friends.
  • DMZ.
  • No Windows Firewall
  • Windows Server 2008 32Bit Standard edition, Windows Vista: Home Premium 32Bit.
  • No antivirus.
  • A clean install of Windows Server 2008 with the first thing installed was a Counter-Strike: Source server.
  • Ran the server for over 24haurs.
  • The only PC on that entire network!
  • sv_lan 0, sv_region 3.
  • Contacted my ISP, they said they weren't having a problem or anything else.
  • And now I am still stuck, no success!

Meh, I'll settle for direct connect if I can't get on the master list.

I had this problem, I had to add the -ip lanip so for me -ip 192.168.1.118
Though this may have been because I have 2 ethernet ports plugged in. But go ahead and try it anyway.

Routers usually dont have loopback, if they dont, you cant see it in the internet tab.
Thats all, anyone can see it from intenet but you cant. You can only see it in the lan tab.
My one does not have loopback and i cant see it in the internet tab, but in the lan tab i can, and ppl can join it from inet, so dont worry, if the problem is that nobody joins your server, try to make it more cool.

My old router has loopback, and i have seen my server in the internet tab.
You can check if it has loopback setting a webserver and typing your public IP in the brwser, if it works, you have, if it doesn't, you dont have loopback.

ps: sorry my english Toungue
