How to get friends to join via friend list

Just wondering how to get friend to go on the friend list and then go join game. I am running windows xp sp3
This is my target line:
C:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -autoupdate -game cstrike -tickrate 100 -ip 192.168.1.2 -port 27015 -maxplayers 8 +map surf_greatriver_fix

i think you need to be playing in that game so he can see you in the friends list playing. you can't really force them i tried .

nah when i am in game it says to then server not responding.

If you are connecting as 192.168.xx.xx or whatever your LAN ip is, they won't be able to follow you because it would show them that is the IP. If your modem/router has loopback you should be able to connect to your own external ip in your internal network.

Well people can see it on the server list and the ip they get is my external ip. So there is no way or any ports i can open so they can get it.

Hey irmitch, you can ask them to write in console:

connect "your ip = 25.94.482.22" (without the "")

Then they should be able to join you

Yeh but alot of them are lazy and want to join via friends list.
