Server for Gmod

Hey, I've been trying to figure out how to get a dedicated server for Garry's mod, but to no avail. The members over at Facepunch aren't very helpful, either. So, could someone tell me what to do, or point me in the direction to a tutorial of how to do it?

I registered especially to ask the same question, the official forums r very slow, so i couldn't ask there, when i tried adding "gmod" instead of "hl2mp", i got an error and a list of the variables available to me ... "Counter-Strike Source" and "hl2mp", we would appreciate if someone have an idea about an update or something, thanks.

They weren't helpful because there's a sticky right at the top of the help forum that specifically shows the two most common methods
