Cant get my CS:S server Online!
#1
Ok, heres the deal, I remade my SRCDS server today and the problem is that it wont go Online. I know you guys can help, it was online before.

I have followed the portforward guide twice and duoblechecked it.
My router portforwarding settings looks like this:

Port 1:

Enable: Yes
Incoming ports: 27020-27039
Destination IP: 192.168.2.10 (i dont know if this is correct)
Destination port: 27020-27039
Type: TCP

Port 2:

Enable: Yes
Incoming ports: 1200-1200
Destination IP: 192.168.2.10 (i dont know if this is correct)
Destination port: 1200-1200
Type: UDP

Port 3:

Enable: Yes
Incoming ports: 27000-27015
Destination IP: 192.168.2.10 (i dont know if this is correct)
Destination port: 27000-27015
Type: UDP

I also got this checked "yes":
Enable DMZ Host --DMZ IP Address : 192.168.2.1

When I start up my server, the normal texts shows up, and I know that everything in console are correct.

My SRCDS target line looks like this:
C:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map surf_machine4 -port 27015 -maxplayers 16 -autoupdate -tickrate 33

Please help me as quick as possible! Smile
I have TeamViewer downloaded, so if anyone know how to do it and dont want to explain, just do it on TeamViewer.

I have also opened the SRCDS port in my firewall, it looks like this:

Name: srcds port
Port: 27015
Type: UDP

I think thats the most information I know about.
I know you guys can help, hopefully as soon as possible! Big Grin

try giving a friend the ip, NOT your internal IP (e.g. 192.168.0.100) Your External IP is the one you ISP gives you. Go to http://www.ipchicken.com and see what you IP is and give that to a friend and have him type
Code:
connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:27015
in console within counter strike. If he can connect that means your server IS online but you can not see it because of a firewall setting on you router probably. (This was my problem) If he can not join the server that means that you server is LAN. Also try adding
Code:
-port 27015
to the startup line of you server. Also This is what my routers Firewall settings look like. Below I attached a picture of what mine looks like. Also the ONLY Ports you really need open is 27015 - 27020 and they should be set as BOTH (UDP/TCP). If this doesn't work there other possible reason is that Valve is running out of room for all of the new CS:S server being made, so it is quite possible that there just isn't any room for you server. Also the Master Server List can take up to 30 minutes to refresh its servers. Hope this helps. If not post back. You could also download HLSW (Half Life Server Watch) CLICK HERE to download. Just type in the server external IP address and if it shows up it is online. Also try to go into the Administration Tab up top and enter your RCON password (it may work or not, people have problems with it) But HLSW is a nice little server program to watch your server. You can also type in you servers internal IP and it will show up as LAN. You can aslo try http://www.gametiger.com or try http://www.game-monitor.com/. Again if you see your server they ARE Online.

-- Also when you put the
Code:
-autoupdate
in the start up does it try to add all of the default maps? like de_dust, cs_assault, etc.? Because mine does for my GunGame server, so I just ook it out.

Finest read his post "it was online before." is what he said....

You ip of the lanned computer may have changed, go to start>run type in cmd, then in the "black box" type in ipconfig
then in IP address should be your new lan ip address, then update the router settings to the new ips

could be apart of it also. I would start the server and let it run for like 30 minutes too, if you don't see it them there might not be room. just use HLSW, game-monitor, or gametiger and if you see your server up then I it is online. people will still be able to join.

Where did you get that quote from? The first half is completely wrong, the second half is correct though.
