[RESOLVED] Garry's Mod Server help

Hey, I recently setup a Garry's Mod server. Well tried to.

It shows up in LAN and all, but when I try to connect it attempts to connect then just closes out and goes back to the server select page. Any ideas?

I am running it from a .bat file with this: srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod +map gm_flatgrass +maxplayers 4

EDIT: On the server console it doesn't even recognize that a connection was made. Could this be a problem with just the client?

Do you host and play on the same pc?

I do not. I host on separate systems connected over the same network

On the server, try add -clientport 27025

Try with +clientport 27025 (not sure if it is + or -)

And try add -port 27050 to the server too.

And do you connect to the internal IP?

It is with a +, figured that much out :p

But when I add them my server no longer shows up on the LAN list.

And yes I'm connecting to the internal IP.

No matter what I try, I still can't connect.

Fixed the problem. Something was wrong serverside. Not entirely sure what. I just removed the core files and reinstalled them via the hldsupdate.
