server getting hacked

Running Mani Admin Plugin

My server keeps getting hacked where a player comes in and takes over the console and changes the admin list. After this happens i have to go into my adminlist.txt file and change it from adminlist.txt_old back to its original file. I havent done any updates for a long time so is there any new updates from mani to make my server more secure or anything else I can do.

When the players come in I get their steam id's and ban them but more hackers keep appearing and changing files around

Mani isn't the most secure plugin (google: mani cs:s hacking). Try SourceMod and make sure you have decent passwords (rcon, ftp, ssh).

There isn't too many mani exploits. If you patch the timeleft bug then you should have a decently secure server. This is assuming that you also lock out rcon access in some way

ok i will start working on securing those options. I acquired my linux machine from my brother and am running srcds off what he had it set as so i will have to poke around for a little bit to fix those discrepancies.

Keep in mind it is also possible to exploit sourcemod mods. I find that nothing is perfectly secure on a srcds server.
