Intel or AMD with 40 Slots at 100 Tick?

Why do I get the feeling you only used AMD once, and passed if off as the CPU when it might have been something else...

plus, theres AMD cpu's out today with 8MB+ total cache.

Yes, I have only used AMD once. No, I have used AMD several times from opterons to phenoms. I suggest you research the cache sizes more.

He tells the truth, hight-end AMD CPU's does have 6Mb L3 cache, 4x512KB L4 cache and 4x128KB L1 cache (while Intel CPU's only have 64KB L1 caches, which are extremely fast in comparison to other two caches). Also having separate L2 caches does make use of it more effective then shared ones, thought as I remember Intel copied that from AMD in their i7 CPU's.
