It seems just recently there has been a huge wave of DDos issues, and srcds crashing exploits release to the worlds of children who are now reaping their retarded havoc among the gaming community.

I'm looking for fixes, patches and such to help prevent these issues.

My most recent DDos issue which I cannot explain how it was caused was that every single srcds server's ( 8 total ) ping maxed out at 999 for each player on every server. However, I was able to leave game, and ping the dedicated server from windows with a response time of 37ms and remote desktop worked flawlessly. While pings were maxed out, I checked the CPU usage, all was normal, floating at about 25% to 30% cpu. Then I checked the network usage, out of 100mbps only 2% was being used, which again was normal.

After I shutdown, and restarted all servers... Everything was back to normal... but what could affect all of our gameservers like that? And recently we have been hated by alot of people who have their spot on our ban list.

Its getting annoying, and I'm just about to throw out the whole community and start playing city builders, and single player games again... Its just getting annoying.

So again, Looking for fixes, patches, and stuff to prevent this issue... Our server is currently running windows firewall and every single port is blocked except the required ones for srcds and remote desktop.

Help?

First problem, is that your running mani. Mani has ALOT of bugs and exploits, so that should cover up alot.
Get sourcemod for admin and get this plugin for sourcemod http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=635173
For eventscripts you want Ironwall too (so people cant change your rcon password)
