Not exactly server related, but I understand it will be a year and a day on from the original l4d release, which I think makes it the 18th of November.

There is no information yet on L4D2. Expect the server the same day as the beta or game.

Expect before christmas as they would launch it right before then to maintain a high price so all the little kids can ask their parents for it.
IMO that's why they will launch it. November - December
