Can't find my server with my external IP

This could be the problem...

I can get the server to boot up and run properly but as soon as I add the IP to the command line I get this problem...
Command line = C:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +ip 142.161.43.92 -port 27015 +maxplayers 10 +map de_dust -tickrate 100



All ports are forwarded. Config is set up. Lan is 0. Im out of ideas.
I have my network ip set to Automatically obtain an IP, but my internal IP matches the ports that I forwarded...
Im on DSL internet so everytime I reboot my router I get a new external ip
regardless no one can find my server with the external IP...

any ideas?

142.161.43.92 is your external ip? If so, try using your internal ip.

Okay, well now it boots up properly but no one can see it still...

ports...
UDP 1200 (Friends Network)
UDP 27000 to 27015 (Gameport)
UDP 27020
TCP 27030 to 27039
TCP: 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)

I forwarded them just like that.

Try giving your friends your external ip, and to join the server from within your own network use the internal ip.

remove this from your start up:

+ip 142.161.43.92

and add this to ONLY your server.cfg file

ip 142.161.43.92


That will fix your problem.


BTW: Doggie52 plz quit spamming with that line. If you read the post you would tell that they had -game cstrike.

Call me an idiot, but I really don't understand what you mean.
Where have I spammed with "that line"? Just describe to me what you mean and hopefully we will sort this thing out .

I should have phrased that differently. Sry if I offended you as you have given a postive experiance while you have been on these boards. What I should have said:

Doggie52 they have -game cstrike.


Or something else. I wasnt trying to be mean or start a fight with you ><. I just have been under some stress lately and I have not been thinking clearly.

I've also been under stress and been tired lately, and yes, I reckon that I made a mistake by typing "add -game "cstrike".
I missunderstood what the guy meant in his post, and therfor I helped him with the wrong thing .
So, we've both done a mistake , if you forgive me, I'll forgive you .
