connecting to server..

Hello all!

Well, my problem is:
I can't connect to my srcds server, running on my linux computer. I'm trying to connect from a windows xp pc, and both machine's are on the same router.

system:
Fedora 9, 2.6 kernel
firewall disabled

I can fine connect to the ssh server over putty.
both -ip <internal ip> or -ip <external ip> parameter gives me socket errors...

I just want to get this server working over LAN, right now. Where do i start debugging?

First of all post your startup command.

my srcds startup parameters?
./srcds_run -game cstrike -console -ip "192.168.1.2" -port 27015 -tickrate 100 +fps_max 1000 +map de_dust2 +maxplayers 12

I can see now it binds itself to 255.255.255.255 as ip....

These ports are open in the router:

UDP 1200 (Friends Network)
UDP 27000 to 27015 (Gameport)
UDP 27020
TCP 27030 to 27039
TCP: 27015 (SRCDS Rcon port)

EDIT: okay i can now bind it to it's internal ip (192.168.1.2), but i still can't connect to it from my windows machine

EDIT2:I fixed this myself. I forgot to apply the settings when i disabled the firewall, so it enabled itself when i closed the gui, lol

Well just to let you know, when you edit the firewall using terminal, you have to run /sbin/iptables-save to save it to your config file.
