Actually, what todd says is very true GPU's have massive parallel processing support, and with the right coding a SRCDS would run verry well on a GPU using some platform like NVidia's Cuda or ATI's firestream (I think its called that).

To give a rough benchmark, using Badaboom http://www.badaboomit.com/ on a old 8800GTS 512 G92 core, I could convert a large 720P video at the same sort of FPS as my i7 with Handbrake which is a heavily multithreaded video converter.

EDIT: I didn't see the second page, but yeah I don't know of any way of running a SRCDS on a GPU, unless your awesome in C#, and understand how Cuda/firestream works lol.
