TF2 in game time running ~2x normal
#1
So I recently setup a tf2 dedicated server on a linux server. I got it working all plain first, to make sure everything was good. Then I got and installed sourcemod.

Now the server seems to run at double time. I've only ever been able to attract 1-2 more people, so it is *possible* this is some "feature" for when there aren't many users on a server... but I have never experienced it anywhere else.

I can't figure out why it is doing it! I'm fairly sure it is just some setting (cvar?) that I either messed up or a config I changed.

If you'd like to see the problem, you can just point your TF2 at the server "fryfrog.com" and see it for yourself. Thanks for any suggestions, I'm even open to what to search google for, having run out of ways to phrase "hlds fast time" in different ways.

You prob. need to upgrade and recompile a new kernel. I dont know if this will fix it but you need it atleast.

The only problem with that suggestion is that the tf2 server works fine w/o sourcemod. It pretty much has to be a setting that I'm missing.

in sourcemod.cfg there are;

// Sets how many seconds SourceMod should adjust time values for incorrect
// server clocks. This can be positive or negative and will affect every
// system time in SourceMod, including logging stamps.
// --
// Default: 0
sm_time_adjustment 0

i dont know if it affects gameplay too.

Thanks, I'll see if that changes anything. The explanation isn't very clear about what it is for or what it does (and mine was set to "0" already).

Update: I tried -1 and 1 (as well as back to 0, the default) and saw no difference.
