My css-servers have a half sec freeze exactly every 5 minutes ... any one else having it?
The problem started today sometime.
I remember a while ago a world wide phenomenon like this when Valve had some troubles with VAC servers.
Could this be the case this time also?

Today it seems servers are constantly crashing and rebooting which is odd behaviour.
After checking the logs they all seem to show segmentation faults in them.
Maybe the issues are related?

are those lags caused by fps-drops (-> fps meter)? if so, it's either a plugin or the kernel. if not, it's a network problem.

This has nothing to do with my server.
Several others have reported the same issue the past days.
My guess is that Valve have some problems with VAC servers again :/
Seems like others are having it in Europe:

*edit* the mailing lists are reporting a possible client side update has fixed this issue about an hour ago, can anyone confirm?
Im also having this exact same issue, server crashing at random times, as well as lag "spikes" that lasts for half a second or so. Im running tf2 servers at the same time that are not suffering from this at all.
This is on the 2.6.29.1 kernel, non-RT patched, 1000HZ, all power management disabled but acpi left on. Also happening on 2.6.27.11, on different hardware, all intel xeons.
