SRCDS Steam group


Another problem, srcds wont show up on LAN or anything? :S

ok so dub helped me out on starting my server and im very thankful for that but now it wont show up on lan or anything and i cant get on it :S

my os is windows vista

here is my command line: C:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 16

and here is servercfg:

turned off all firewalls.
forward your ports correctly

have you done these?

are you behind a router?

no i did not portforward but it should stil stay on LAN shouldnt it? i will try to turn off firewall

are you playing on the same computer you are runnin the server on ? and are you behind a router? you forward the ports only if you are using a router i believe

What do your console say? Please post a screenshot of your SRCDS console.

no i did not portforward but it should stil stay on LAN shouldnt it? i will try to turn off firewall



i turned off firewall but still doesnt show up on LAN :S

are you playing on the same computer you are trying to run the server on?

If no one sees it on the lan, there is one of 2 issues:
1) A firewall is blocking the server from broadcasting it's location or from accepting connections.
2) It's not on the physical lan.

Try removing sv_region 0 or setting it to 255 (world)

or i did do something wrong when i did set up the server Big Grin

it was my first time so i think ive done something wrong.

so i will remove that i have and try again.
