hey guys
today i installed da source server dedicated using da instruction after everything was done i went 2 da folder where its all at, and i realized der is no srcds.exe, it wont let me finish the last step and when i try 2 run the server it wont let me i get a wierd error, plz help me, either post bac, or im me at thefreakid, plz ill b realy happy if u can help me.

wel dat post really dunt help.
y dont ya post da error.
der is 2 DS installs. one is 2 launch thro steam an da other is the standalone srcds.exe
look on da google for da proggy called da 'HLDSUpdateTool.exe'

I think i completly missed step 3, can anyone plz IM me and explane 2 me ho 2 make this server plz ill be very happy, i have verything done, up 2 step 3, so plz help me out, ill b very very happy, im aiming for a stand alone server i have one for cz, i just cant get da one for source ill be realy happy if anyone could help

start>run>cmd
cd to the directory that you have hldsupdatetool downloaded into
hldsupdatetool -command update -game "counter-strike source" -dir c:\srcds -username thefreakd -password freak
wait for the download to finish
srcds.exe
your server should start, if you want to make any changes you will have to make them in the valve.rc or server.cfg, I suggest the server.cfg

I too am up to step three, I dont have the srcds.exe in the srcds directory. What am I supposed to do from there? Please help
I have missunderstood this line
