Choosing a kernel?

i heard its not good to define a srcds process for only one CPU.

it seems you have to try this out again. I have found it better not to asssign fixed CPUs, but others (maybe especially on quad cores) have found the opposite.

No, its definitely better assigning cores, like you mentioned

i think your fps meter result is normal, if your are hosting more than 1 user/prozess/srcds per cpu at 1000 FPS. If you try the tut of BehaartesEtwas its very important to host only 1 user for each core. If you host more than you will get somethink like this....i tried it on a similar system...by hosting 150-200 Slots (no-go with an RT Kernel/1000HZ/chrt or taskset).

I hate this kind of comments. On my system it's better *not* to assign the servers to cores. unrealized, you sure have not tested this on many systems, so don't say "definitely".

back to the topic: I have seen better graphs, especially the drops are a little too deep. But you might need some luck with the chipset/mainboard for this, I don't know. are you sure that there were no map changes in between? those could explain this kind of drops (and you can ignore them then).
