Well Hey guys and gals,
Just got my 2.8 p4 server , 100mb port etc etc. running fedora core 3. got the installs up and running and they restart by themselves. I have two instances of the srcd running each in there own folder , one it a 12 man private one is a 18 man pub , anyway tried just starting one and the same thing happens just restarts it self after awhile , please help im stumped.

did you specify the port for each one?

Hello,
yup port specified for each one, and I tried setting it up with both using 2 different ip's same thing.

Well found out my problem , so far today no restarts or shutdowns , the problem = I was running srcds as root and not as a user ( I hope this was the problem now that I am running services as a user nothing has happened so far (fingers crossed).

This is the cause of many problems. SRCDS should *never* be run as root.

Reply again , still random lockups wtf this is so gay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , sorry just fed up with valve and this stupid update and crap.
Where can I find logs of whats going on??? I checked the cstrike logs but those are useless nothing really in them.

how random is it? is there a specific map that it shuts down on, or specific number of players on the server, etc.
