ok my problem with HL2 ded server source is that i want to run the same map but reload every 20 or 30mins then restart with fresh scores and to be honest i dnt no wtf im doing :p so heres my server info that ive put in

what am i missing or needs adding
plus where is the file placed ive got it in this dir

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\accountusername\source dedicated server

is this right or wrong any help please

alright.. well first of all the file has to be put in the cfg folder.. so it would be like "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\accountusername\source dedicated server\hl2mp\cfg"

and if you want the map to change every 20 mins.. change mp_timelimit to 20 instead of 5. and if you want it to stay on the same map. then you would have to take all the other maps out of the mapcycle.txt file. i think thats all...

ok thanks for the reply i put in 20mins and me and a m8 messed around on there for like 30mins and the map did not end then restart ive done whats been said above but the map does not change i dont know where its going wrong but when i start ded server source from steam > play games > it always says Dm_lockdown in a unselectable box heres the pic

so i dont understand why it wont change all i want to do is run a ctf fort2fort map but reload so the scores are reset also when me n my f8 where trying it the "timeleft" function didnt work (if its meant to as standard i dnt no)

hmm.. well i know that on css the round has to end for map to change.. i wouldn't think there would be anything like that for a hl2dm server... but i don't know.. i have never ran one. maybe try the mp_fraglimit putting it to like 40, so then if somone gets 40 kills.. it would change.. wouldn't really be a timelimit.. but it may work?? maybe timelimits don't work on hl2 cuz of the round end thing?? i don't know.. maybe ill mess around with it a lil if i feel like makin one..
