Segmentation Fault

Hello everyone!

I've been trying to get a CS:S server up and running and i've ran into a brick wall. Hoping someone here could shed some light on the problem.

OS: Ubuntu 8.10
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 1700+
Ram: 512mb
Game: CS:S

the command "./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir ."
brings me to:
Checking boostrapper version ...
Segmentation fault.

I can't even get the game installed
Any help with this would be much appreciated!

The dir is wrong

Not sure what it is in Linux but in windows it's C:/srcds

"." just stands for the current directory. It shouldn't be a problem.

Delete any other files you have in there, like the clientreg.blob, and stuff until only the steam file is left, then run the command again
