When it says connection error and I try to update, it says everything up to date. Also, my srcds.exe appears, it just doesn't launch.

God, why can't this be easy? This is rediculous.

Did you try updating with -verify_all ?
You can also use -retry

I've tried -verify all
-dir . -verify_all
-retry doesn't do anything

[Mooga]

-command update -game tf -dir YOURDIR -verify_all -retry

Did you install the TF2 content?

Code:

HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game tf -dir C:\Server

It gets to 100% then it said the connection was reset.
