friends can't join
#1
Exclamation
Well, first time I installed srcds it worked.
my friends could play on the server, BUT I couldn't?
so.. I uninstalled srcds and installed it again..
Now my server wouldn't show up for my friends..
but it works for me?

I have these settings:
C:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 16 -tickrate 100 +fps_max 500 -exec server.cfg -port 27015 -ip 192.168.1.1

Also I have sv_lan 0.

I can only see Counter Strike on the site?

If you have done portforwarding, yes.

But I wrote that to prevent the "Couldn't allocate dedicated server UDP port" - problem you had.

hmm no..
strange, well it did before I installed..

I'll just give you some more informations if you need..

Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

I have port-forwarded 3 ports:
CS2 27000 27015 192.168.1.5
CS1 1200 1200 192.168.1.5
CS3 27020 27039 192.168.1.5

I have turned firewall off.

And I just made a short out of srcds, and useing this code which should do so my friends can join the server:
C:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 16 -tickrate 100 +fps_max 500 -exec server.cfg

-You have any clue? ;/ Because I wasn't need to port forward or close my firewall BEFORE i uninstalled srcds..

No.

A static LAN IP means your LAN IP doesn't change. By default when you're the first on your network to turn on your computer, you'd have an IP as: 192.168.1.100 - but if your mom, brother w/e connected before you, would you have: 192.168.1.101.

And if you portforwarded to 192.168.1.100 - only this machine could get online with SRCDS or any other thing.

Where are you from? I made a guide todo this in danish, just incase you are danish - I could link you to it.

Den er godt nok til Windows Vista, men hvis du bruger XP er det nogenlunde det samme. Eneste forskelv er, at den grafiske layout er anderledes. Smile
