How to Disable RDTSC_FREQUENCY
#1
Does anyone know how to disable this? I get this message when my l4d server starts. Reason why I want to disable is that my server crashes after the round starts. There are no plugins installed at all. My CS:S server runs just fine on the same machine. Running CentOS 5. Any Ideas?

have you done what the message sais? you cannot/shouldn't disable it, but set the variable to your cpu's clock frequency...

As i have understand it is a bench bark tool that benchmark your cpu. No need to disable.

This shouldn't crash the server at all.
Please post the whole serverconsole-log + server.cfg + startscript.

*EDIT*
Idk if this works for centos

nano/vim/edit the
/etc/environmentet
file

Add to the bottom of the file:

RDTSC_FREQUENCY="yourfrequency"

I think you can also do
RDTSC_FREQUENCY="disabled"
or maybe its "disable"

Heres mine:
RDTSC_FREQUENCY="3092.000000"
