Occasional Crashes
#1
I have done some searching, and I can't find any solutions to my problem.

Right now, I am putting reinstalling srcds at the end of my list of options.

Alright, I'm running a counter strike source server. Srcds can run perfectly file on the default map, but as soon as I switch maps, srcds crashes sometime during the game. Sometimes it will crash as soon as anyone joins a team, sometimes just randomly during the game.

I also get a lot of errors like this:

Code:
DataTable warning: player: Out-of-range value (2060.427490) in SendPropFloat 'm_vecVelocity[1]', clamping.

The value is different every time, but I get this error a lot on most maps... It's probably because my server is a surf server, but ohwell.

I can't really give any information on the crash because there are no errors in console or any other type of error apparent.

Any ideas?

what maps are you playing?

surf_ny_advance is the default.

Other maps are surf_lithium, surf_sandman_v2, surf_construction, surf_fruits

Stuff like that.

Once again, there are no errors before the crash takes place, except the one I mentioned above, and meta list shows that all plugins loaded correctly.

I had simialar issues with my stunt/surf server. Problem ended up being a mod (checkpoint). But not sure what would cause those errors.

Although mdl files are usually the cause of any crashes on surf/stunt maps. Please recheck all model and sprite files.

How exactly do I go about checking all those files?

Also, this started soon after I installed SourceMod. Any reason why SourceMod would cause this?

no, if installed correctly it wont. Get a bsp viewer. It will list all files nessesary for the bsp to run. If a mdl is missing or faulty (had faulty mdl's many times) server will crash. or just drop out.
You will have to manually check all files. So takes a lil while. If you check all and all are there, delete them and reinstall maps/mdls/ and any other custom files.

Basically the player/object is going faster than the sv_maxspeed allows, which is why it slows it down. It is not recommended to change this setting as it makes everything go SUPER fast, so yeah, its not an error, more like a warning.
Do you run any addons? If you have estools, then thats your problem, sourcemod and est dont like working together...
