Not showing in master server list! [SOLVED]

After messing arround trying to get my ports open, i have stumbled into the following problem...

Whenever i give my servers IP adress to any1 outside of my LANnetwork people can join no problem, no lag or whatever, but it doesnt show up in the master server list leaving me and my server empty..

i have a ZyXEL P-2602R-D1A modem connected to a Linksys WRT54G router.

on the modem i have switched the firewall off and opened ports 1 - 50000 to the routers internal IP adress ( just untill i get it working ) and my router DMZ'd to my servers internal IP adress.

My startup line for SRCDS is; C:\SRCDS\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -tickrate 33 -ip 192.168.123.230 -port 27015 -maxplayers 10 +map surf_japan_v10 -command update

I used my internal ip in the startup line because if i put it to my external i get the UDP error, leaving this ip out doesnt make any difference, it still works when i hand out the ip but not in the master server list or gamespider.. also turning the firewall on my pc off makes no difference.

I hope this all the info u need, any idea's?

you can take -command update of the cmd line, the cmd would be -autoupdate but it doesnt work with windows only on linux.

I dont know about that masterlist problem just leave the server up for awhile and see if it comes up

The servers ran for a good 24 hours now and still not appearing on either gametiger or the master server list...

No i dont, infact i have 2 internet connections and i switch over to the other connection on my other pc when im checking whether it works, so there not on the same connection at that time.. ( when i put the server on the other connection it works fine and people join but it only has a 102 kbps upload speed so it lags like hell.. )

ive spend days search the web and all kinds of forums and there are others with the same probleme but i have not found a solution yet, its driving me insane!

( i have just download portforward.com portcheck tool, and the neccesary ports are defenitly opened )

ok an update on the matter:

I am sometimes getting ppl on my server, ppl i dont know so they could not have gotten the ip from me, but there ping is always high, so there not very close to me, because the people i give my ip to can play with pings of under 50..

all i have to say is sv_region URREGION in server cfg.

If you dont set ur region it will not show up in ur countries/regions list only the global list change the sv_region 255 (global) to eg... australia is sv_region 5

If yo have already done all that you arnt running peer guardian are you?

sv_region 0 sets it to all regions and will be seen in the master server list.

of coarse it will. but the problem i had with that is that was just like region 255 global, wouldnt show up in country specific regions.

ok so ive set my region on 3 for europe, havnt seen any change but il give it some time, also i am not running peer guardian as far as i know. Ive never heard of it so i doubt it.., i do however sometimes get an error in the console stating:
SteamStartValidatingUserIDTicket: Returned ESteamError 25,
does this maybe have anything to do with my problem? and how come i do sometimes see highpingers join my server?

Yet another update on the matter.. I regret to announce the fact that the server now works!! w000t i was doing some more diggin in forums and whatever, and i found that people with TF2 servers had the same problem for them the solution was to add the following lines to the server.cfg

setmaster add 72.165.61.189:27011
setmaster add 69.28.140.247:27011
setmaster add 68.142.72.250:27011

and restart the server and now i believe it works, the good thing is that on my seperate account i can see it on gamespider and i have played with some other people i had never seen before stil relativly few people are joining, but things are looking allot better

I have a similar problem, but setmaster is an invalid command. Any suggestions?
