Unstable FPS

Hello,

I recently bought new hardware to run one 100-tick Counter-strike Source warserver.

The server contains of:

E5200
4GB PC6400
Asrock G31

and is running Arch.

Now the problem is that whenever i enable the sourcetv i get massive FPS drops

Currently there is not a public fix for the FPS drops when source tv is on. The problem is that when source tv is enabled, the server spins in an idle loop which causes the unstable FPS. My best advice is to leave SourceTV disabled. If this is not possible, I would suggest adding these to your server.cfg file

tv_relayvoice 0
tv_maxrate 1000
tv_nochat 1

in order for the snapshotrate command to work, you must add this to your command line arguments

This won't fix the drops, but it should make them happen less often.

I see. One more question; what does the tv_snapshotrate command do?
