i use srcds in console mode just cuz its easier to start and stop.. and it seems to take up less memory.. that could just be me though

I run it in console mode as well, because on my windows box, I can run the server as a service in the background.

Trying to run srcds in the console mode and it gives me the following error message...
"Host_Error:IDLLFunctions:LLInit returned false." Does this mean that it is not loaded properly and if so can someone kindly assist me in downloading these files correctly. Thank you

um, how can you run your server as a service?
I would like to do that, but is there a way to bring up the console to use commands at any time?

if it ran it gui mode.. then it should run in console.. what is the cmd string your putting in it? you have to put more then just -console you would have to put like -game cstrike +map de_dust -maxplayers 12 -exec server.cfg
if u already have all of that.. then i really don't know. just make sure that stuff is all right.. cuz it is what loads up the server.

DarkZealot89 Wrote:um, how can you run your server as a service? I'll post a howto in the tutorial section. (You use the SrVany trick/hack.)
