sorry king lol but evilscam understood TF2 IS SO ANNOYING !!!! all these updates and then the updates crash the servers... yes ive tried verify_all it still crashes.
Essentially this is what happens. Servers loads with a few errors 1)Could not locate steam binary:./steam, ignoring. 2)[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to update local steamclient. Continuing with current version anyway. Then if you join a team the server crashes and the client times out. Apparently this is due to the recent tf2 update.

I have the EXACT same problem with the same errors. When the client joins it works, but as soon as he joins a team he gets connection problems, but the server doesn't crash. It is due to the latest tf2 update.

Same exact issue here. Funny thing is that it only happens on some maps and not all. So far it seems to be custom maps.
Happend on all maps for me so far.
This sucks when you run a clan with multiple servers and the clan wants to play scrims and everything on your linux server.

As for the timeout I still have that problem

So do we need to report this bug with steam or what? This is kind of lame.

I have already posted on the steam forums about 20 min after the update hit.
