I am trying to install Sourcemod to my Left 4 Dead server, but cannot find the srcds_l folder. I was told it is the folder that contains srcds_run. I found srcds_run but it is in the l4d folder. Will it still work?
or could anyone tell me the exact path I need to install it?

vegetablegod Wrote:but cannot find the srcds_l folder. never seen a folder named like this.... the folder containing srcds_run usually is the one you have chosen during installation (using hldsupdatetool), but L4D puts everything in an extra l4d folder below the install folder. so yes, this is probably the right one. but for telling you this for sure I would need to know the exact context ;-) sourcemod should go into <installdir>/l4d/left4dead/addons/sourcemod beware that you need sourcemod 1.2.0 for l4d support, this is the current development version, not the release!

download the prerelease copy i presume there should be a link to an unstable version (basically the one there working on atm)

When you installed it with HLDS update tool, did you do "-game left4dead" or "-game l4d_full"?
