TF2 Server not working. at all.

Im pretty mad.. I looked up how to port forward.. I forwarded the ports. AND ITS STILL LAN. This is crap. There should just be a button that says "OHAI, DO YOU WANT YOUR SERVER TO BE INTERNET OR LAN?"

I don't have a clue how to do this so be VERY SPECIFIC.

Also I don't have a screenshot; I put random stuff in the port thing so people would think I'm crazy when they see what I put in there.


and I don't want to pay money for a server. Really... who would..

Have you set your sv_lan to 0?

Most servers are rented.

1. totally off topic
2. Only big clans rent servers for their own needs
3. If you got a 1600€ PC, WHY PAY EVEN MORE FOR A JOB YOU CAN DO YOURSELF (capital sentence works also with a car-repairing, computer installing and assembling...)

Because home users bandwidth is usually not good enough, and their computers are not good enough either. You are derailing the thread with made up information. It is a fact that more SRCDS servers are rented then run at home.
