CSS: Show enemy player name on mouse over
#1
Currently, when I put my mouse over a friendly player, it shows his name. Is this possible to do this for enemy's?

If so what is the command to turn this on / off?

I don't think it is. You could try looking here.

I haven't seen anything like this. It would be nice, however.
Check our SM. They might have a plugin.

I am pretty sure this works in css. I always recognize when I meet some enemy that is with me in teamspeak ;-) And I don't think there is any special settings required. On my servers this worked out of the box, also on the war servers. So no sourcemod etc. is required. But maybe there is some valve command to switch it off. So maybe you should have a close look at your config.

I think that it does it for me. When I aim at my opponents I see their names. I think.

Most of the time the name will show up but if someone throws a smoke or something it sometimes glitches and doesnt show up.

Yea, it works in TF2, I remember seeing an engineer on my team with the name of a teammate, and turned out to be a back stabbing spy. I did the classic spy check :3

You can try this:

"mp_playerid" = "1" ( def. "0" ) min. 0.000000 max. 2.000000
- Controls what information player see in the status bar: 0 all names; 1 team names; 2 no names

I came back to this post to let everyone know that it was mp_playerid - not realising that sombody already posted the answer Toungue

So this is just to confirm that mp_playerid works for CSS

mp_playerid 0 = ALL
mp_playerid 1 = TEAMMATES ONLY
mp_playerid 2 = DISABLED
