How to setup high fps TF2 server

always 66.6 fps in my win7 x64 / 2008r2 x64

my pc
2600K 4.2G
16G DDR3 1600
WIN7 x64 U

-game tf +map arena_badlands +maxplayers 64 -ip 127.0.0.1 -port 27015 -console +fps_max 0

fps should be 66 now, don't try to get it higher, it's pointless and doubt you will make it happen.

and i just install sm mod and one plugin

whats ur server.cfg
abd fps is at 66 now. New update came out like 3 weeks ago or whatever to do that. It's better that way tbh. But you might have incorrect rates.

hmmm. Well go in the server.cfg and tell me what the rates are.. I don't know the default rates XD

Here download this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7ITVN8GP its called srcdsfpsbooster this will let it max out at 512 ish or just run windows media player to get it up to 256

Did you not read the above posts? The old booster tool is useless these days. FPS is now locked to the tickrate. The best you can achieve is with a tickrate enabler to 100 & thus get 100 fps.

Well in the server.cfg change the rates to look like this:

tell me if that does any better.

There's really no point in trying to push the FPS above 66 anymore. It just makes the server lag, actually.

I know this thread is a bit old but I figured I would put my 2 cents worth in. I have been having lag issues with the new MvM game type (I think due to my internet / cpu combined). I improved the latency issues quite a bit by reducing the tick rate to 48.

I was interested in what frame rate is needed to produce a good fluid apperance to things and read on wikipedia that " Thomas Edison said that 46 frames per second was the minimum: "anything less will strain the eye."
