did you run hl2 engine server on this machine before?
Around 2 years ago with 1 update they made some cpu requirement which dumped all old CPU's.

For more information could you run through GDB?

Sounds like you're running into the AVX+glibc bug. You cannot fix it with CentOS, you'll need a different operating system. Try using debian.

Thanks Stinkyfax and Monk for the quick reply. My other server was running Ubuntu 11 and the mobo went south so I had this other old machine setting around that had Fedora 13. I haven't run CSS on this one for about 2 or 3 years. This old machine was made back in 2005 so I'll have get a new mobo for the other one and run Ubuntu again.

Thanks again.

Most linux admins prefer running server on centos or debian. But it's your choice of course.

Yah if it's old I assume it lacks instructions in CPU which hl2 requires now. But did you try installing 32bit libraries as well? (Well I suppose you did since it got to be 32bit cpu anyway)
