sv_maxrate is the only variable that you can calculate

Well, that is if I'm not going deep in tickrates, but that's a whole other story

Taking that you have sufficient bandwidth available!
My basic rules:
# of slots, tickrate min -max
<20 slots: tickrate 30-100
20-32slots: tickrate 30-66
>32 slots: tickrate 30-33

As for rates, I always use the happy setup with enough bandwidth:
sv_maxrate 30000
sv_maxupdaterate 101
sv_mincmdrate 30
sv_maxcmdrate 101
