AMD vs Intel: Which has better SRCDS preformance?

If your definition of "to clear stuff up" is to post factually incorrect information, then you're correct, and you did a bang up job.

Your method of testing the overheating capabilities of a pentium is flawed because they have a built-in function to throttle down the clock speed when it rises in temperature. This is why you'd experience 1-10FPS, because it's no longer even trying to run at its usual clockspeed. Why do they have this feature? No, it's not for idiots like yourself to run meaningless tests with no heatsink, it's because it's a known fact that they produced way too much heat (and much more heat than equivalent AMD processors). Therefore, they added this feature so that when someone's running a Pentium with a poorly cooled system (not no heatsink at all), it wouldn't fry the chip. AMD doesn't have this feature. Why? Because they DON'T NEED IT! Athlons never got as hot as their Pentium equivalents.

If you're trying to argue which gets hotter, you put them both at idle and full load using the same exact heatsink, you don't remove a heatsink completely. The only way you can do the latter and have an effective test is if you hack the Pentium to disable that throttle-down feature, and unless you're an electrical engineer (which I highly doubt you are based on your lack of technical knowledge), good luck with that.

So maybe you should take your own advice and actually do some research first before posting complete BS.

That concludes Processors 101. Thanks, and have a nice day.
