Fps Boost

hey all i have a windows server 2003 dedicated server i see that my servers FPS is 256 however i dont have Windows Media Player Open

Nor do i have the FPSboost program

i was wondering do any of you have any ideas i mean yah i want them boosted but why when noting is running to make them boosted?

any help would be great

Windows 2003 server has / can have a higher Multi-Media Timer Resolution than other windows distros. Hence the FPS being 256.

ahhh ok iam running Server 2003 Enterprise edtion

It depends on the CPU, I have an old P3 that can run 1000FPS without modifications to the OS, while other CPU's won't go higher than 512.
