* Graphical User Interface (not a command prompt program)
* Downloads the latest verion of the HLDS Update tool from the Steam website
* Auto-installer for the HLDS Update Tool
* Manual install for the HLDS Update Tool
* Any game supported by the HLDS Update Tool is supported
* Allows user to specify where to install server
* Automatically starts the download process
* Uninstall support

Can anyone else confirm this is NOT a virus?
I posted the link to the VirusTotal scan above. You can scan it yourself though if you want. Smile
It's just suspicious when a guy with no previous posts comes in and posts an exe...
I had never actually been to these forums before until I was looking for a tool that does what mine does. Then I decided to just code it myself because the tools that I found here only support 4 games. I do agree it is suspicious, but nobody needs to be alarmed.
Moved to the correct area.
As for all third-party software, please be careful when using it. Make sure to take the correct safety measures.

Please do not PM me for server related help
fqdn Wrote:if you've seen the any of the matrix movies, a game server is not all that different. it runs a version of the game that handles the entire world for each client connected. that's the 2 sentence explanation.
Honestly the main tutorial is probably the best and learning that method is probably the best way of understanding how these game servers work, and will be best help in the future with troubleshooting them. Just don't skip any steps and you will be just fine Toungue
Looking for a game server? Visit and pick one up as low as $2.50 / mo!
Actually, for the newbies who don't have a lot of experience with this stuff, but want to have a basic server, this idea isn't half bad. However if you want to do some custom stuff the normal one is by far the best.
