Has anybody had success running Source Dedicated Server, as well as the Orginal Half-Life Dedicated Server on FreeBSD. I know FreeBSD is very secure and has a realy small footprint, however I'm not sure how SRCDS runs on it. From my understanding it has to emulate linux? Does this work well? I'm going for maximum performance, and I want to fit at least 64 slots on a dual xeon machine with great pings. So if anybody here uses FreeBSD give me a shout about how exactly it runs srcds, and is it a good OS for Game Servers?

I run it on a server. But i prefer Gentoo Linux over it anyday. im actually about to ditch my current server for a server powered by gentoo linux.
