1000FPS kernel on PIII

Hello.

I have 2,4GHz Intel Pentium III Xeon in my CSS server. Can I make kernel with 1000 FPs or must buy second Xeon proc. to my server? Using Debian Etch on server with 1Gb Ram and two SCSI HDD.

1000 FPS doesn't require 2 processors therefore you're good to go.

However 2.4 GHZ would be a Pentium4.

I believe the Pentium 3's stoped at 1.5 GHZ with the Tualatin core.
