Router & Poort probleem
#1

Code:
C:\srcds\srcds.exe -game cstrike -console +ip 192.168.2.5 -port 27015 -tickrate 100 -maxplayers 11 +map de_dust2

-Router: U.S. Robotics Wireless MAXg Router USR5461 (geeft mij een ip van 192.168.2.x)
-Server: Pentium 4 @2,6ghz 256 MB Ram geheugen 37gb hdd
-Kabel Cat 6 ook geprobeerd met Cat5
-Provider Planet internet (KPN) 6mbit

http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/USRobotics/USR5461/Counter_Strike.htm
TCP 27020 to 27039
UDP 1200 to 1200
UDP 27000 to 27015

u need to forward the ports from both your router and "modem"... Btw using the word "modem" confuses people, an adsl modem is the same as a router...
u need to forward the ports from you "gateway/modem/router" (the one wich is connected to your isp) to the ip of the second router and from your second to your server
example:
Router 1 (LinkSys ADSL2MUE): 27015 tcp -192.168.1.100 (router2's "external" ip)
Router 2 (U.S. Robotics Wireless MAXg Router...): 27015 - 192.168.2.101(Servers IP)
.. and all the other ports the same way..
i will recommend that you plug your server directly into the Linksys router instead (if only 1 port use a switch)

thnx for the quick reply, the problem is the adsl modem/router (linksys) doesnt have a porforward fuction. but i read somewhere there is a firmware with that option. i use version 4.12-eu btw

Edit: I updated my firmware with a special firmware i have know alot funtions like port forwarding etc etc i will try to open the ports.

are the port settings like this oke?

im not sure, it will work with that IP, which you have chosen, since that is the routers internal (192.168.2.1) if you log into the router under status or something like that you should find its external (the one the linksys router gave it) which should be like 192.168.1.xxx..
still i recommend you connect your server directly to the linksys router, it will give better ping, less losses and less problems

okay nice Toungue
its proberbly either because it works with the internal IP or because there is only one device connectted to the linksys, and then portforwadding isn't nessecary
Good luck with your server Smile

but is there a way to fix it so i can join via ip to i dont know if joining via lan is laggier for other people.

I played a clanwar with zBlock 4on4 with 1 spectater slot spectating but it lagged like hell for other people they had latecy like 240 and higher.

is it because the source tv is recording? or because i only have 256 mb ram ddr?

Thnx for your help
