7 people = server crash
#1
ok, heres my problem... i have set up a 75 tick, 11slot server with z-block 4.1 installed and a sourceTV. The server is running off of a dual core @ 2.66 ghz, 2gb RAM..... first the server started working fine, me and a few mates where messing around on it... then we get a 3on3.css and still, it works fine (the other team had ~40 ping from France. Then we try the 4on4... as soon as the 7th person joins the server everyones ping shoots to 900 and eventually the server crashes... odd

if anyone can help id greatly appreciate it :}

ps. we did try a 4on4 twice and a 5on5 and for all of them crashed

It should be able to just barely hold 7 slots so that is wierd. Do you get an error message or anything?

Your server is fine.

Who is your internet provider? They're probably throttling you because you hit a certain amount of bandwidth. I've seen the exactsame problem with others using home connections: 7+ shoots ping to 900+. You'll have to find a provider giving a residential connection without throttling (hard to find), or pay for a business class connection (more expensive, but that's how they get you).

If you'd like to check your bandwidth, this program is pretty useful:
