Please check with ls -ls who is the owner and group of the files. At me it was somerthing 16472, I changed to the normal 'tf2admin' user (it depends on your configuration) and worked after.

1. IMPORTANT:make sure no nothing is using steam (AFAIK I run a l4d2 server and use steam to download another game, the download get stuck here...)
2.if no luck,delete everything but game folders (a steam or ./steam folder in /root, delete it may help) 3.start over.... -verify_all sometimes helps anyway,it's slow and it can be the problem of steam content servers......... |
