Dapper

I'm using Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper and i have a problem. I can get the server up and running but it will not show up on internet only lan. I have a NAT router my question is am i supposed to use port forwarding or trigger ports? It is a westell versalink-327W. Also after i do the ports on the router do i have to open them on the machine?

port forwarding, and no i dont believe ubuntu has a firewall installed
