okay thanks it works, people can join.
one problem, they can only connect through my ip. they can't see it on the server browser. so this means people are not gonna join unless i invite them which i dont want. how come they cannot see it?

Probably because its not on the steam list. How long have you waited? It should show up in 40 min at max.

So you want to set up a server for a game of your choice. Some people use closed-source software like MvM.
